Take advantage of Thassos’s old footpaths which link the traditional villages and discover the interior of the island which remains almost completely undiscovered. Cycling is a unique way to explore the hidden and unspoiled parts of the Thassian countryside. Many biking tours are organized throughout the island.
Sailing / Boat Trips
Why not take a boat trip around the island, there is always a choice, sail boat, motor yacht and organised group boat trips. The organised group boat trips are an easy and inexpensive way of getting to see parts of the island only reachable by boat.
If you charter your own boat you don’t have to confine yourself just to Thassos, a trip across to the Athos peninsular of Halkidiki which is the ancient home of several Orthodox monasteries.
Scuba Diving
The clean sea and calm water make Thassos ideal for scuba diving. Apart from the beauty of the land, Thassos has a magnificent seabed which you can explore with the help of the diving centers available in Thassos.
All diving centers have qualified staff with long experience and possess the necessary equipment. You will also pass through a shipwreck, which according to the legend was wrecked during the war with the Turks and it will make you feel like a hero coming from a historical novel dating back to the early 20th century.
Professional divers, alumni – members of the international organization of PADI (the principal diploma given to the level of Master ScubaDiver Rating) guarantee a safe and exciting diving experience.
